Nicholas Liese has appeared in recital across the Midwest, notably at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Peoria, IL; Church of the Gesu, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and on the annual French Organ Music Festival at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Kansas City, Missouri.

In May 2020, Nicholas graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor’s degree in organ performance, and a minor in harpsichord. Currently at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, he is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Church Music, with concentration in Organ.

Nicholas has serve as Organist and Director of Liturgy at St. John’s Lutheran Church, working with adult and bell choirs in Bloomington, IL from 2017-2019; Organ Scholar at the Episcopal Chapel of St. John the Divine on the campus of the University of Illinois from 2019-2020; as well as Organist and Director of Sacred Music at the St. Lawrence Catholic Campus Center at the University of Kansas and then as the Director of Sacred Music & Organist for the Proto-Cathedral of St. Peter in Jefferson City, Missouri.

In August of 2024, Nicholas was appointed the Director of Sacred Music for St. Mary, Help of Christians Parish in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota
